About Me

My work is rooted in identifying the patterns for how people think, interpret, and respond—and helping them create change that actually holds over time.

About Mayte Martinez

I’ve worked in coaching, facilitation, and leadership development since 1996, supporting individuals and organizations across a wide range of professional and personal transitions.

My work spans executive leadership in fortune 100 companies and global organizations, culture and change initiatives within complex systems, and deeply personal shifts — including career transitions, confidence rebuilding, navigating unexpected circumstances, driving major transformation, and long-standing body and food change.

While the contexts differ, the underlying work remains the same: helping people navigate multi-layered challenges with clarity, steadiness, and grounded strategy.

My work is also shaped by my own experience navigating significant personal and professional change. Not as theory, but as lived work — which allows me to recognize patterns, resistance, and turning points from the inside, not just the outside, and to focus on approaches that are tested, practical, and sustainable in real life.

A core strength of my work is translating complexity into language and action. I’m known for putting words to what people are experiencing but haven’t yet been able to name — and for connecting where someone feels stuck with the patterns and blind spots shaping their responses.

Often that insight alone creates immediate movement. When people understand what’s driving their patterns, they respond differently. When deeper shifts are needed, we design practical, phased approaches that hold under real-life pressure.

My work is practical, direct, and deeply human. I focus on change people can actually sustain — not just understand conceptually.

How I Work

I work across styles and levels of experience — from seasoned executives to those new to transformation, from highly analytical minds to deeply intuitive thinkers — meeting each person without asking them to shrink, simplify, or perform.

I’m less interested in elegant ideas and more interested in what is truly supportive and changes behavior.

My role isn’t to impose a way of being, but to meet people where they are so the work stays honest and useful. I’m also very comfortable with difficult topics, naming what matters, holding complexity, and helping people move forward with intention rather than reactivity.

Whether focused on leadership, life transition, or personal change, the goal is the same: create enough clarity and steadiness for aligned, sustainable action.

Life is complicated enough. The path to transformation doesn’t need to be.

Philosophy

Lasting change doesn’t come from overriding behavior or fixing what’s “wrong.”

It comes from understanding the systems that drive our thinking, decisions, emotional regulation, and repeated patterns — and working with those systems rather than against them.

This is not just how I work, but how I live — through simple, consistent practices, including long daily walks, that support steadiness, clarity, and sustainable change over time.

This philosophy is reflected in THRIVE Wisdom, the framework I’ve developed over decades of practice.

How I Approach This Work

In this video, I share how I think about change, what I pay attention to, and how the impact of the work unfolds.

With wit, directness, and warmth, I help people build change they can fully claim — because when transformation feels aligned rather than forced, it becomes the gift of thriving.
